Hey y'all!
My name is Robin Jenkins and I am the student services coordinator. I have faithfully worked in education for 25 years. I began my career at Pearl River Community College where I wore many different hats from recruiting, to coaching cheer, to running student activities. I have a bachelors degree in English and Spanish, as well as a Masters in the Art of teaching from William Carey University. I also have a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Research from The University of Southern Mississippi. My teaching experience includes 8-12 grade English, Advanced Placement Language and Composition, and 7-12 Spanish I and II.
As the student services coordinator I facilitate a diverse population of students. I work hard to prepare our CATC students for graduation, the workforce, as well as college. Along with our counselor, I make sure that our students are properly placed in a CTE program that is the best fit for them. My job is to create an environment that is conducive for every student to learn and become prosperous in achieving their goals.
My hope is that every student that enter the doors of the CATC feel welcome, loved, and prepared for the future. I leave with the words of Erma Bombeck that I so hope our students will resonate with one day, "when I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say I used everything you gave me."
