Carpentry

Carpentry

Three students work together on a woodworking project in a workshop.

  • Construction Core - Carpentry Year 1
The Construction course introduces students to fundamentals of construction safety, tools, math, and blueprint reading, as well as basic carpentry, electrical, masonry, and plumbing skills.

  • Carpentry - Year 2
The Carpentry course consists of an in-depth study of basic safety, construction math, materials, wall, ceiling, and roof framing; windows and doors; and construction essentials. This one-Carnegie-unit course should only be taken after students successfully pass Construction Core.

My name is Evan Byrd and I have a passion for teaching construction.  I have spent over 30 years in construction doing projects such as: concrete work, electrical work, painting, framing and finish work. Construction has always been a passion of mine, and I am excited to share that passion with my students.

My past time is generally spent with my three incredible children, Savannah, Tyler and Grayson. I also love to travel.
